Ingredients
1 package (14.3 ounces) Golden Oreo cookies
1/2 cup salted butter melted
2 packages (3.4 ounces, each) instant lemon pudding mix
3 ¼ cups milk
2 containers (8 ounces, each) Cool Whip thawed
1 block (8 ounces) cream cheese softened
1 cup powdered sugar
Instructions
- Crush all the Oreo cookies using a food processor, or place them in a large zip-top bag and crush them with a rolling pin. You can make the crumbs as fine or as coarse as you like. Set aside 3/4 cup of the crushed cookies for the topping.
- Generously grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with nonstick spray. Add the remaining cookie crumbs to the dish and spread them evenly. Drizzle the melted butter over the crumbs, then mix until fully combined. Gently press the mixture into the bottom of the pan to form the crust, being careful not to press too firmly, as this can make it difficult to cut later.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the lemon pudding mixes and milk until smooth and well combined. Cover and refrigerate for about 5 minutes, or until the mixture begins to thicken.
- In another bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth and creamy. Add the powdered sugar and mix until fully incorporated. Fold in one container of Cool Whip until light and fluffy. Spread this mixture evenly and gently over the prepared Oreo crust.
- Next, layer the thickened lemon pudding evenly over the cream cheese mixture. Spread the remaining Cool Whip over the top, smoothing it out evenly. Finish by sprinkling the reserved Oreo crumbs over the surface.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving. Slice into squares and enjoy!
Notes
- This dessert is best made ahead of time, allowing the flavors to meld and the layers to set properly.
- Store leftovers covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- If you can’t find Lemon Oreos, Golden Oreos work well as a substitute.
- Don’t skip the lemon zest garnish—it adds a fresh citrusy touch that really elevates the dessert!
