- ½ cup butter, melted
- 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 (16 oz) tub Cool Whip, divided
- 2 (3.4 oz) packages instant lemon pudding mix
- 3 cups cold milk
- Crushed Lemon Oreos and lemon zest for garnish
Instructions
- Make the Crust: Crush the Lemon Oreos and mix with melted butter until combined. Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9×13 inch dish to form the crust. Refrigerate while preparing the other layers.
- Cream Cheese Layer: In a bowl, beat the cream cheese and powdered sugar together until smooth. Fold in 1 ½ cups of Cool Whip, then spread evenly over the Oreo crust.
- Lemon Pudding Layer: In another bowl, whisk together the instant lemon pudding mix and cold milk until thickened. Spread this mixture over the cream cheese layer.
- Final Layer: Spread the remaining Cool Whip on top. Garnish with crushed Lemon Oreos and lemon zest.
- Chill and Serve: Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight. Slice and serve cold for best results.
Notes
- This dessert is best made ahead of time, allowing the flavors to meld and the layers to set properly.
- Store leftovers covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- If you can’t find Lemon Oreos, Golden Oreos work well as a substitute.
- Don’t skip the lemon zest garnish—it adds a fresh citrusy touch that really elevates the dessert!
