A simple and delicious dessert made by layering blackberry filling, fresh blackberries, cake mix, and butter, then baking until golden and bubbly.

21 ounce blackberry pie filling
2 cups fresh or frozen blackberries (about 10 ounces)
½ cup granulated sugar
¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
15.25 ounce yellow cake mix
¾ cup unsalted butter (cold and thinly sliced)
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350 F and coat a 9×13 baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.
- Step 2: Add the blackberry pie filling and fresh blackberries to the prepared baking dish. Gently mix them together and spread into an even layer.
- Step 3: Sprinkle the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon evenly over the blackberry mixture.
- Step 4: Next, sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly on top of the fruit layer.
- Step 5: Top the cake mix with the slices of cold butter, covering as much of the surface as possible.
- Step 6: Bake for 40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the filling is bubbly around the edges.
Notes
Serve warm with fresh blackberries and vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
