Description
Simple and fluffy biscuits made with only four ingredients, including 7-Up soda, for a surprisingly tender and delicious result.
Ingredients
Scale
2 cups Bisquick
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup 7-Up (or other lemon lime soda)
1/4 cup melted butter
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat your oven to 450°F.
- Step 2: In a medium bowl, combine the Bisquick and sour cream and mix them together.
- Step 3: Gently stir in the 7-Up. The dough will be very soft and sticky.
- Step 4: Sprinkle some additional Bisquick on a clean counter or work surface. Pat the dough out to about a 1-inch thickness.
- Step 5: Use a biscuit cutter or the rim of a glass to cut out the biscuits.
- Step 6: Pour the melted butter into a 9×9 inch pan.
- Step 7: Place the cut biscuits directly on top of the melted butter in the pan.
- Step 8: Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown.
Notes
The dough is supposed to be very soft and sticky, so handle it gently and use extra Bisquick for dusting your hands and surface.
Do not overwork the dough, as this can make the biscuits tough.
Any lemon-lime soda, such as Sprite or Starry, can be used as a substitute for 7-Up.
