Ingredients

2 large pears
2 tbsp butter
pinch of salt

1 tbsp of honey
1 red onion, thinly sliced
Greens of your choice: baby arugula, romaine lettuce, red leaf lettuce
Homemade salad dressing of your choice
Fresh black pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Step 1: Cut your pears into wedges, removing any seeds from the core and discarding the stem end.
  2. Step 2: In a large pan, melt the two tablespoons of butter on medium-high heat.
  3. Step 3: Add the pear wedges in a single layer and cook for about three to five minutes on the first side, or until the edges turn golden.
  4. Step 4: Turn the pears over and cook for an additional 3 minutes on the other side.
