  • Total Time: 15 minutes

  • Diet: Vegetarian

Description

Strawberry Cream Cheese Frosting is smooth, creamy, and full of real strawberry flavor. Made with freeze dried strawberries, it comes together quickly and is perfect for cupcakes, cakes, and cookies.

Ingredients

Scale

1 ½ cups freeze dried strawberries
½ cup salted butter softened
8 ounces full fat cream cheese softened
3 to 4 cups powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
⅛ teaspoon almond extract optional

Instructions

  1. Begin by placing the freeze dried strawberries into a food processor or blender. Blend until they turn into a fine powder with a few tiny bits remaining. Set aside.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter and cream cheese together until smooth and creamy. Slowly add the powdered sugar, mixing gradually to avoid lumps and ensure a silky texture.
  3. Add the vanilla extract and optional almond extract, then continue mixing until fully combined. Gradually add the strawberry powder and blend well. Increase the mixing speed and whip until the frosting becomes light, fluffy, and evenly pink.

Notes

Use full fat block cream cheese for the best texture.

Sift powdered sugar if needed to avoid lumps.

Adjust powdered sugar to control sweetness and thickness.

Almond extract is optional and can be skipped.

Store in the refrigerator and let it soften before using.
