1 can crescent roll dough
8 oz cream cheese, softened
3 tbsp milk
2 tbsp granulated sugar
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/3 cup strawberry jam or preserves
1/2 cup red candy melts
Instructions
- Prepare the filling:
- In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, milk, lemon juice, and vanilla extract.
- Blend the mixture with a hand mixer until it’s smooth and velvety.
- Add sugar, then continue blending until fully incorporated. Set aside.
- Preheat and prep:
- Preheat oven to 375 °F (190 °C).
- Line or lightly spray a baking sheet.
- Prepare the dough:
- Unroll the crescent dough into a rectangle.
- Cut into 8 equal squares.
- Assemble the rolls:
- Add about 1 teaspoon of the cream cheese filling to the center of each dough square, making sure to leave a margin around the edges.
- Spoon 1 teaspoon of strawberry jam directly over the cream cheese.
- Roll each square from one corner, gently crimping edges with a fork or fingers to seal.
- Bake:
- Arrange the rolls seam-side down on your prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 10–13 minutes, or until the tops are golden.
- Let cool on the sheet for a few minutes.
- Add the candy melt drizzle:
- Melt candy melts according to package instructions.
- Spoon into a plastic sandwich bag with the corner snipped off for precision.
- Drizzle red candy melt over rolls in zig-zag lines.
- Refrigerate the baking sheet for 5–10 minutes to allow the drizzle to set firmly.
