Ingredients

Scale

1 can crescent roll dough

8 oz cream cheese, softened

3 tbsp milk

2 tbsp granulated sugar

1 tbsp lemon juice

1 tsp vanilla extract

1/3 cup strawberry jam or preserves

1/2 cup red candy melts

Instructions

  1. Prepare the filling:
    • In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, milk, lemon juice, and vanilla extract.
    • Blend the mixture with a hand mixer until it’s smooth and velvety.
    • Add sugar, then continue blending until fully incorporated. Set aside.
  2. Preheat and prep:
    • Preheat oven to 375 °F (190 °C).
    • Line or lightly spray a baking sheet.
  3. Prepare the dough:
    • Unroll the crescent dough into a rectangle.
    • Cut into 8 equal squares.
  4. Assemble the rolls:
    • Add about 1 teaspoon of the cream cheese filling to the center of each dough square, making sure to leave a margin around the edges.
    • Spoon 1 teaspoon of strawberry jam directly over the cream cheese.
    • Roll each square from one corner, gently crimping edges with a fork or fingers to seal.
  5. Bake:
    • Arrange the rolls seam-side down on your prepared baking sheet.
    • Bake for 10–13 minutes, or until the tops are golden.
    • Let cool on the sheet for a few minutes.
  6. Add the candy melt drizzle:
    • Melt candy melts according to package instructions.
    • Spoon into a plastic sandwich bag with the corner snipped off for precision.
    • Drizzle red candy melt over rolls in zig-zag lines.
    • Refrigerate the baking sheet for 5–10 minutes to allow the drizzle to set firmly.
