Description
Sausage Cream Cheese Crescent Rolls are flaky, cheesy, and loaded with savory sausage flavor. Perfect for breakfast, brunch, or game day, this easy three-ingredient recipe delivers big taste with minimal effort.
Ingredients
1 pound breakfast sausage (hot or mild)
1 block (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
2 cans (8 oz each) crescent rolls
Instructions
-
Preheat your oven to approximately 375 °F (190 °C).
-
In a skillet, cook the breakfast sausage over medium heat, breaking it apart until no longer pink. Drain off any excess fat.
-
In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked sausage and the softened cream cheese; stir until the mixture is smooth and well blended.
-
Unroll the crescent rolls and slice each triangle in half (so you get smaller rolls if desired).
-
On a parchment-lined baking sheet, take each crescent roll piece and place a scoop of the sausage-cream cheese mixture on the wider base of the triangle.
-
Roll the crescent up toward the tip, wrapping the filling inside. Place the rolls, seam-side down, on the baking sheet.
-
Bake for about 12-15 minutes, or until the crescent roll dough is golden brown and cooked through.
-
Remove from the oven and serve warm.
Notes
Use mild or hot sausage depending on your preference.
For a lighter version, use reduced-fat cream cheese and crescent rolls.
Add shredded cheese or green onions for extra flavor.
Freeze leftovers for up to 3 months.
