  • 1 ½ lbs ground beef
  • 2 cans (30 oz) tomato sauce
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 8 oz sour cream
  • 2 tsp garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp pepper
  • 1 ½ cups cheddar cheese, shredded

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly spray a 9×13-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
  2. Cook the egg noodles according to package directions. Drain and rinse with cool water.
  3. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, crumble and cook the ground beef until browned. Drain the grease.
  4. Stir in the garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, and sugar. Add the tomato sauce and mix well. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. In a small bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and sour cream until smooth.
  6. Layer half of the cooked noodles in the bottom of the prepared baking dish. Spread half of the cream cheese mixture over the noodles.
  7. Spoon half of the meat sauce over the cream cheese mixture. Repeat the layers with the remaining noodles, cream cheese mixture, and meat sauce.
  8. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly on top.
  9. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
