Description
Peanut Butter Cup Dump Cake is a quick and easy chocolate dessert made with just 4 ingredients. This rich, moist cake is filled with pockets of melted peanut butter and ready in just 30 minutes, making it perfect for busy days or last minute treats.
Ingredients
1 box (15.25 oz) chocolate cake mix
1 box (3.4 oz) instant chocolate pudding mix
1¾ cups milk
1 package (8 oz) mini peanut butter cups, chopped into uneven bite sized pieces
Instructions
- Start by preheating your oven to 180°C or 350°F. Prepare a 13 x 9 inch baking dish by lightly coating it with non stick spray to prevent sticking.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the milk and instant chocolate pudding mix until smooth and well combined. This step helps create the rich and moist base for the cake.
- Next, add the chocolate cake mix directly into the bowl. Stir everything together until fully blended. The batter will be thick, which is exactly what you want for this recipe. Avoid overmixing to keep the cake soft and tender.
- Cut the mini peanut butter cups into uneven, bite sized chunks, then gently fold them into the batter so they are evenly distributed. This ensures pockets of melted peanut butter throughout the cake.
- Transfer the batter into your prepared baking dish and spread it out evenly. Bake for about 25 minutes or until a skewer inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Allow the cake to cool slightly before serving. It is best enjoyed warm for maximum gooey goodness.
Notes
Do not overmix the batter to keep the cake soft.
The thick batter is normal and gives the cake its rich texture.
Use unevenly chopped peanut butter cups for better flavor distribution.
Serve warm for the best gooey texture.
Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
