Ingredients
8 ounces frozen whipped topping, thawed
3 ounces orange gelatin mix
16 ounces full fat cottage cheese, small or large curd
14 ounces mandarin oranges, drained
20 ounces crushed pineapple, drained
1 cup mini marshmallows
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the thawed whipped topping and orange gelatin mix. Stir until the mixture is evenly blended and smooth.
- Add the cottage cheese to the bowl and gently mix until well combined with the whipped topping.
- Fold in the drained mandarin oranges and crushed pineapple, making sure the fruit is evenly distributed throughout the mixture.
- Add the mini marshmallows and gently fold everything together until fully combined.
- Serve immediately or cover and chill in the refrigerator for about one hour for a thicker and fluffier texture.
Notes
Drain the mandarin oranges and pineapple very well to prevent the salad from becoming watery.
For best flavor and texture, chill the salad for at least one hour before serving.
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to five days.
Freezing is not recommended because the texture may become watery after thawing.
