Description

Orange Creamsicle Icebox Pie is a cool, creamy, no bake dessert with bright orange flavor and a smooth vanilla finish. Made with cream cheese, sweetened condensed milk, Cool Whip, and a graham cracker crust, this easy pie is perfect for holidays, potlucks, and warm weather gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale

1 9 inch graham cracker pie crust
8 ounces cream cheese, softened to room temperature
14 ounces sweetened condensed milk
1 cup Cool Whip
4 tablespoons orange flavored powdered drink mix, such as Tang
1 quarter cup water

Optional garnish:
Whipped cream
Mandarin orange segments

Instructions

Bring the cream cheese to room temperature so it blends smoothly.

In a small bowl, combine the orange flavored powdered drink mix and water. Stir until fully dissolved.

In a food processor, stand mixer, or with a hand mixer, beat the softened cream cheese, sweetened condensed milk, and orange mixture until smooth and creamy.

Gently fold in the Cool Whip with a rubber spatula until well combined.

Spoon the filling into the prepared graham cracker crust and spread it evenly with a spatula.

Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until fully chilled and set.

Garnish with whipped cream and mandarin oranges if desired. Slice and serve cold.

Notes

  1. Soften the cream cheese before mixing for the smoothest filling.
  2. Make sure the orange drink powder is fully dissolved in the water before adding it to the filling.
  3. Use a slightly damp knife for cleaner slices.
  4. If the pie becomes too soft, return it to the refrigerator or freezer for a bit longer.
  5. For a thicker crust, you can combine extra graham cracker crumbs with melted butter and press them into a 9 inch pie plate.
  6. This recipe also works well in individual graham cracker tart shells for easy serving.
