Ingredients
Pretzel Crust
2¾ cups crushed pretzels, divided
1¼ cups granulated sugar, divided
¾ cup salted butter, melted and cooled
Cream Cheese Filling
12 ounces cream cheese, softened
16 ounces whipped topping, thawed and divided
1 medium lemon, thinly sliced, optional
Lemon Topping
22 ounces lemon pie filling
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F and lightly grease a 9×13 baking dish.
- Combine 2½ cups crushed pretzels with ½ cup sugar in a bowl. Add melted butter and mix until coated. Press firmly into the baking dish. Bake for 10 minutes, then cool completely.
- In a separate bowl, mix cream cheese until smooth. Add remaining sugar and blend well. Gently fold in 12 ounces whipped topping until light and airy.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the cooled crust.
- Add the lemon pie filling on top and spread evenly. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
- Before serving, top with remaining whipped topping, crushed pretzels, and optional lemon slices. Slice and serve.
Notes
Make sure the crust is fully cooled before adding the filling to prevent melting.
Chill overnight for best texture and flavor.
Use full fat cream cheese for a richer and more stable layer.
Slice with a sharp knife and wipe between cuts for clean layers.
