Description

Lazy peach cobbler is a quick, fuss-free dessert made with fresh peaches and simple ingredients. Make it today and share your twist!

Ingredients

Scale

4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

2 cups fresh peaches, peeled and sliced

3/4 cup all-purpose flour

1 cup granulated sugar

2 teaspoons baking powder

1/2 teaspoon kosher salt

3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

2/3 cup whole milk

Instructions

  1. Melt the Butter: Place the butter in a 9×9-inch baking dish. Put the dish in a preheated 350°F oven for 4-6 minutes until the butter melts. Remove and set aside.
  2. Mix the Batter: In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon. Stir in the milk until smooth.
  3. Assemble the Cobbler: Pour the batter over the melted butter in the dish—do not stir. Layer the peach slices evenly on top of the batter. Pour in any juice from the peaches.
  4. Bake: Place in the oven and bake for 45-55 minutes, or until the cobbler is golden brown and set in the center.
  5. Cool & Serve: Allow it to cool for about 15 minutes before serving. It’s especially delightful when served warm with a generous scoop of vanilla ice cream on top.

Notes

Use a glass or ceramic dish for even baking. Keep an eye on the butter while melting to avoid burning. Always include the peach juices for extra flavor.
