Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 ounces large elbow macaroni (or your favorite pasta)
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt (divided)
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 (16-ounce) jar Alfredo sauce
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions

  • Cook the Pasta: Bring a large pot of water (about 4 cups) to a boil, adding 1 teaspoon of salt. Cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  • Brown the Ground Beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef, breaking it up as it browns. Drain any excess fat.
  • Add Flavor: Stir in the diced onion, Italian seasoning, remaining 1/2 teaspoon of salt, and black pepper. Cook for 1-2 minutes, then add minced garlic and cook for another minute.
  • Mix in Alfredo Sauce: Pour Alfredo sauce into the skillet, stirring to combine. Cook for 2-3 minutes, until the sauce is heated through.
  • Combine Pasta and Sauce: Add the drained pasta to the sauce and beef mixture. Stir until the pasta is fully coated.
  • Serve: Optional – top with grated Parmesan cheese. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • Pasta Swap: Feel free to use any pasta you have on hand, like penne, rigatoni, or rotini.
  • Extra Creamy? Add an extra splash of heavy cream or more Alfredo sauce for a richer sauce.
  • Spice It Up: For a bit of heat, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the sauce
