Ingredients
For the Chicken:
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
Salt and pepper, to taste
½ teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon onion powder
½ teaspoon dried thyme
½ teaspoon dried basil
For the Honey Mustard Sauce:
¼ cup honey
2 tablespoons melted butter
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1 tablespoon yellow mustard
1 tablespoon wholegrain mustard
2 teaspoons hot sauce (optional)
½ teaspoon white vinegar
⅛ teaspoon paprika
Instructions
- Prep the Grill: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
- Season the Chicken: Evenly coat the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, and basil.
- Mix the Sauce: Combine the honey, melted butter, all three mustards, hot sauce (if using), vinegar, and paprika in a mixing bowl. Whisk until the mixture is silky and well blended.
- Reserve Sauce: Set aside ¼ cup of the sauce for basting. Keep the rest for dipping.
- Grill the Chicken:
- Oil the grill grates.
- Sear the chicken for about 2 minutes on each side to develop a nice char.
- Baste with half the reserved sauce, close the grill, and continue cooking for 7 minutes.
- Turn the chicken, apply the remaining basting sauce, and grill for another 5–6 minutes or until the internal temperature hits 165°F.
- Rest and Serve: Let chicken rest for 8 minutes before slicing. Serve with reserved honey mustard sauce.
