Description

Fudgy and Chewy Peanut Butter Brownies are rich, gooey, and loaded with swirls of creamy peanut butter. This easy one-bowl recipe is packed with deep chocolate flavor and chewy edges—perfect for any occasion. Make a batch today and enjoy the ultimate chocolate-peanut butter treat!

Ingredients

Scale

1 cup (227g) unsalted butter

1 cup (175g) semisweet chocolate chips, divided

1¼ cups (150g) all-purpose flour

½ cup (50g) unsweetened cocoa powder

1 teaspoon salt

1 cup (200g) granulated sugar

1 cup (220g) packed light brown sugar

3 large eggs, at room temperature

1 tablespoon vanilla extract

½ cup creamy peanut butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease and line an 8×8-inch square baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Melt Butter and Chocolate: In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Remove from heat and whisk in ½ cup chocolate chips until smooth. Alternatively, melt in the microwave and stir.
  3. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, sift together the flour and cocoa powder. Stir in the salt.
  4. Combine Wet Ingredients: Whisk sugars, eggs, and vanilla into the melted chocolate mixture until smooth.
  5. Combine All: Gently fold the dry mixture into the wet ingredients. Mix in the remaining ½ cup chocolate chips.
  6. Add to Pan: Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth it out with a spatula.
  7. Swirl Peanut Butter: Spoon peanut butter over the top by the teaspoon and create swirls using a knife or skewer.
  8. Bake: Bake for 40-45 minutes until the center is just set. For ultra-fudgy brownies, bake for about 35 minutes.
  9. Cool and Slice: Let the brownies cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares.

Notes

Room temp eggs blend better.

Avoid over-mixing to keep the texture fudgy.

Swirl gently for distinct peanut butter ribbons.

For clean slices, use a warm knife and wipe between cuts.

Store in an airtight container for up to 4 days or freeze up to 3 months.
