Description
Crumbl chocolate dirt cake cookies are soft, chewy chocolate cookies rolled in Oreo crumbs and topped with rich chocolate frosting and gummy worms for a fun dessert.
Ingredients
Cookies:
1 tsp instant coffee
2 tsp hot water
1/2 cup butter
3/4 cup brown sugar
2 tbsp granulated sugar
1 large egg
1 1/4 cup flour
1/2 cup dutch processed cocoa powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
5 Oreos filling removed and crushed
8 gummy worms
Chocolate Frosting:
1/2 cup butter softened
3/4 cup powdered sugar
2 tbsp dutch processed cocoa powder
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup semi sweet chocolate chips melted
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Mix instant coffee with hot water and let it cool.
- Cream butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add egg and cooled coffee mixture and mix well.
- Stir in flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt until a soft dough forms.
- Scoop dough into 7 equal portions, roll into balls, then coat in crushed Oreos.
- Place on baking sheet, gently flatten, and bake for 12 to 13 minutes.
- Let cookies cool before frosting.
- Melt chocolate chips and allow to cool slightly.
- Beat butter, powdered sugar, cocoa powder, and vanilla until smooth.
- Add melted chocolate and whip until fluffy.
- Frost cookies, sprinkle Oreo crumbs, and top with gummy worms.
Notes
Use high quality cocoa powder for a deeper chocolate flavor. Do not overbake to keep cookies soft and thick. Frost only after cookies are fully cooled.
