Description

Christmas Cherry Bombs are a fun, festive party treat soaked in your favorite alcohol, dipped in candy coating, and topped with sprinkles. A colorful and easy adult dessert for any holiday gathering. Make a batch today and wow your guests!


Ingredients

1 (10 oz) jar maraschino cherries

4 oz cherry juice or grenadine

1 cup white candy coating or white chocolate candy melts

1/4 cup holiday-themed sprinkles


Instructions

  • Drain the cherries: Open the jar of maraschino cherries and pour out the juice (save it if you plan to reuse). Keep the cherries in the jar.
  • Add cherry juice or grenadine: Pour the cherry juice or grenadine into the jar with the cherries, fully submerging them. Seal the jar and let the cherries soak in the fridge for at least a few hours or overnight.
  • Dry the cherries: Once soaked, remove the cherries from the jar and place them on a paper towel. Let them air dry for 10-15 minutes, then pat dry to remove excess liquid.
  • Prepare your station: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Melt the white candy coating in the microwave in 25-second bursts, stirring in between until smooth.
  • Decorate: Dip each cherry into the melted candy coating, covering it halfway. Immediately dip it into the sprinkles so they stick to the coating.
  • Set to dry: Place the decorated cherries on the parchment paper and allow them to set at room temperature.

Notes

Let cherries dry fully before dipping to help the coating stick.

Store in the fridge and serve chilled for best texture and flavor.
