- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1½ cups chopped mixed dried fruit (fruitcake mix or your favorites)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
- In a medium bowl, sift together flour, salt, baking soda, cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg.
- In a large bowl, cream butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract to the butter mixture, blending until combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined. Fold in the dried fruit.
- Roll dough into 1-inch balls, place on baking sheet about 2 inches apart, and bake for 12 minutes or until edges are lightly golden.
- Cool on the baking sheet for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
