Ingredients
Scale
269 grams of soft caramels, individually wrapped (about 35 pieces)
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
2 tablespoons heavy cream
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup whole roasted unsalted peanuts
Instructions
- Line a baking sheet with wax paper and set aside.
- In a heavy-bottomed saucepan, combine the unwrapped caramels, creamy peanut butter, heavy cream, and salt. Heat over low, stirring frequently, until everything is melted and smooth.
- Remove the saucepan from the heat and gently fold in the peanuts until evenly coated with the caramel mixture.
- Using a tablespoon, drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, forming small clusters.
- Place the baking sheet in the refrigerator and chill for at least 20 minutes, or until the clusters are set.
- Let the clusters sit at room temperature for about 10 minutes before serving to soften slightly. Enjoy!
Notes
Use a silicone baking mat for easy release. Toast the peanuts for added flavor. For a fun twist, sprinkle sea salt or drizzle melted chocolate on top.
