Description

Butterscotch pecan fudge is a creamy, sweet, and nutty dessert made with butterscotch chips, white chocolate, and crunchy pecans. This easy no bake fudge is perfect for holiday treats, dessert platters, or homemade gifts and requires only a few simple ingredients.

Ingredients

Scale

1 ½ cups butterscotch chips
½ cup white chocolate chips
1 can sweetened condensed milk 14 oz
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
½ teaspoon salt
1 cup chopped pecans

Instructions

Step 1 Prepare the pan
Line an 8 x 8 inch baking dish with parchment paper. Make sure the paper extends slightly over the edges so the fudge can be lifted out easily after chilling.

Step 2 Melt the chocolate mixture
In a saucepan, combine the butterscotch chips, white chocolate chips, and sweetened condensed milk. Heat over low to medium heat while stirring continuously.

Step 3 Stir until smooth
Continue stirring until all the chips are fully melted and the mixture becomes smooth and creamy. Be careful not to overheat because chocolate can scorch quickly.

Step 4 Add flavor and texture
Remove the saucepan from heat. Stir in the vanilla extract, salt, and chopped pecans until everything is evenly combined.

Step 5 Transfer to pan
Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared baking dish. Use a spoon or spatula to spread it evenly and smooth the surface.

Step 6 Chill until firm
Place the dish in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours or until the fudge is fully set and firm enough to slice.

Step 7 Cut and serve
Lift the fudge from the pan using the parchment paper. Cut into 16 equal squares and enjoy.

Notes

For extra flavor, lightly toast the pecans before adding them to the mixture.
Allow the fudge to chill completely before cutting for clean slices.
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
For longer storage, freeze the wrapped squares for up to three months.
