Ingredients

Scale

3 cups Bisquick (or gluten free Bisquick)

1 lb ground beef sausage

16 oz cheddar cheese, shredded

1/2 cup milk (or water)

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Get a large baking sheet ready by either lining it with parchment paper or giving it a light coating of oil or cooking spray.
  • Mix the ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, add the Bisquick, ground sausage, shredded cheddar cheese, and milk.
  • Combine thoroughly: Using your hands or a sturdy spoon, mix everything together until well incorporated. The mixture should be thick and slightly sticky.
  • Form into balls: Roll the mixture into 2 to 3 tablespoon-sized balls and place them evenly on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake: Place the sheet in the oven and bake for 23 to 25 minutes, or until the sausage balls are golden brown and cooked through.
  • Cool and serve: Let them cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm!

Notes

Use freshly grated cheese for best texture.

Store leftovers in the fridge up to 4 days or freeze uncooked for later.

Reheat in the oven or microwave before serving.

Milk makes them fluffier than water.
