Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground beef
- 8 strips bacon, cooked and crispy
- ½ cup ricotta cheese
- ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- ¼ cup marinara sauce
- 1 egg
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 4 burger buns
- Butter, for toasting buns
- Fresh basil (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Prepare the Patties: Season ground beef with salt and pepper. Form into 4 patties and cook on a grill or stovetop over medium heat for about 4-5 minutes per side.
- Make the Lasagna Filling: In a small bowl, mix ricotta, mozzarella, Parmesan, and egg until smooth.
- Top with Lasagna: Place marinara sauce and a generous spoonful of the cheese mixture on each cooked patty. Let it melt slightly.
- Cook the Bacon: Fry bacon strips until crispy, then drain on paper towels.
- Toast the Buns: Butter the burger buns and toast until golden.
- Assemble the Burger: Place lasagna-topped patties on the bottom buns, add two strips of bacon to each, and cover with the top bun.
- Serve: Garnish with fresh basil and extra marinara sauce if desired.
Notes
- For extra melty cheese, broil the burgers for 1-2 minutes after adding the lasagna filling.
- Swap ground beef for turkey or plant-based patties for a lighter option.
- Spice things up with a spicy marinara sauce or add red pepper flakes to the lasagna filling.
