Ingredients

Scale

1 can (16.3 oz) refrigerated Pillsbury Grands! Southern Homestyle Original Biscuits (8 count)

About 1/2 can (21 oz) apple pie filling

Optional toppings: Whipped cream, caramel sauce, maple syrup

Instructions

  • Prep the waffle maker: Lightly spray your waffle maker with non-stick cooking spray and preheat it to medium-high.
  • Prepare the biscuits: Open the can of biscuits and separate them into 8 individual pieces. Slice each biscuit horizontally like you’re making a sandwich.
  • Stuff with apple filling: Transfer half of the canned apple pie filling to a small bowl. If the apple slices are too large, chop them into smaller chunks. Spoon 1 to 2 tablespoons of the filling onto one half of each biscuit.
  • Seal the biscuits: Place the other half of each biscuit on top and use a fork to pinch and seal the edges closed.
  • Cook in waffle maker: Place one or two stuffed biscuits into the waffle maker, depending on its size. Close the lid and cook for about 1 minute or until the waffle is golden brown.
  • Cool and serve: Carefully remove the waffle from the maker and let it cool slightly. Serve warm with your choice of whipped cream, caramel sauce, or maple syrup.

Notes

Chop apple slices from the filling if they’re too large.

Seal edges well to avoid leakage while cooking.

Reheat leftovers in a toaster or oven for best texture.

You can freeze cooked waffles for up to 1 month.
